After a fine arts foundation course at Epsom I decided against continuing with the degree and instead divided my time between sculpture and a garden design course over at Hadlow. Never regretted that decision for a moment: the sculpture studio at Hoathly Hill provides a very special setting in which to work, whilst garden projects had already become a rewarding way to bring art / design into daily life. And I love to see sculptures in a garden – so it was a win/win way forward. Output is a long way from prolific, but I get a buzz from what I do, and enjoy dividing my time between sculpture, drawing and reworking a garden.
Jill’s pictures will arrive tomorrow and should be on my walls by early next week so come and have a look. You can see more of of her pictures here
