Peter Davey

My paintings are in oil on canvas or board, also watercolour, pen and ink, and woodcut on paper. The themes are views from memory of places abroad, using sketches done in situ.They are not topographical- the emphasis is on the feeling I have about the place, and the surprises I’m looking for in realizing the experience in paint.
My next solo exhibition is at the Galleria Rettoria Tribbio, Trieste, from 4-17 June, 2011.
